The
Tribunal of Crimes against Women held in Brussels was a milestone
in the history of feminism, and was timed to coincide with International
Women's Year. The participants came from every continent, and like
most feminist activities, the political platform avoided the formal
structures of similar organisations practised by men. What it lost
in legalistic issues was compensated for by the devotion and passion
of the participants, who were presenting case after case of the crimes
committed against women in almost every sphere of life. |

TNeedless
to say, the English media unanimously rejected coverage of the event,
and this modest film was strictly the result of my own endeavour,
and of the crew who volunteered time and labour for free. Dutch
television generously offered the negative in exchange for a copy
to be transmitted on their network. .
