Writer/ Director/ Producer: Mira Hamermesh
The JEWISH CHRONICLE wrote: “PASSPORT is a brilliant piece of satire, based upon the fatuous, time-wasting, form-filling, visa-hunting and clashes with officialdom during a journey from England to Eastern Europe by a young man. In one episode, on reaching the Iron Curtain a Jewish traveller shows instead of a passport, his concentration camp number on his wrist, and is duly arrested.”
Mira Hamermesh wrote: “The story was based on my own experiences of travelling across the Iron Curtain during the years of my studies at the Polish Film School (1961-65).”
